This movie really got to me..
by .. Shipper ()
I saw this on TV when I was young. It affected me deeply. I mean REALLY got to me. To this day, I STILL see the scene when the Indians shoot the girl, just as her brother reaches the ending of the 'Crooked Sky' a huge obstacle-course type timed race. My heart stopped as I watched the girl falling down the cliff, blindfolded, hands bound.
Then the ending blew me away even more. And I never forgot it. EXCELLENT drama imparting strong messages of sacrifice, family-love and honor to name a few.
Love of Family
by .. Marilyn Schmidt (Long Beach, Wa. USA)
This video held my interest right to the end. It's based on the principal, there is no greater love than to give your life for a friend. The scenery is beautiful and the acting is good. The story is based on a pioneer family and the struggles they have with the Indians. This is an excellent family video.
such a good movie
by .. B. Murray (Florida)
This movie was a story of courage sacrifice and love.
It was pg for some things but the nudity was not much too it. and most of it was hidden behind a bush.
It was a good story I think. I think its something everybody should see. Most movies nowadays show nothing but blatant sex and violence. they showed more at the superbowl.
I recommend this move highly!
Courageous
by .. Barbara Grimmelmann (USA)
this movie is pretty old, but it has a true meaning about love, courage and the determination that he brother went through to save his sister. Richard Boone played an excellent drunk in this film, too.
Exciting family film that teaches moral values.

I first viewed this film in 1977. It has become part of my permanent collection. Could be described as a "Disney" type film. It is suitable for family viewing, and will appeal to most age groups. Soundtrack is beautiful, and at the same time haunting. Possibly Richard Boone's (Have gun, WIll Travel) finest performance. Surprise ending.
